Kung Hei FAT Choi!

Happy Chinese New Year!

I'm proud to say that despite my extreme love of food, I fit into my Chinese New Year outfit that my Uncle Shawn and Aunt Tina got for me out east. They actually purchased it in Bali, but I figured it could pass for Chinese.

That said, today I celebrated Chinese New Year by taking my Pop-Pop to the Mandarin. That's his favourite Chinese restaurant - despite the fact that some would say that they recycle their food. Hei, even if they DO, I think their recycling program is quite progressive. Very green.

Speaking of green, I ate cucumbers and honeydew from the buffet. I also enjoyed some multigrain bread, rice, cherry tomatoes, corn, chicken, watermelon, grapes, and strawberries. You'll be happy to hear that despite some serious bingeing on the buffet, my Chinese New Year pants still fit. Uncle Shawn and Aunt Tina were smart enough to get me the pants with an elastic!!
