My, How Time Passes!

I can't believe how much time has passed since I last wrote! I swear, one of my posts disappeared, but ... I can't be sure.

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

I had a wonderful holiday with my family. The beginning of my holiday was marked by my first Christmas concert. We "sang" "We wish you a Merry Christmas." Mommy was able to come and watch and she has video that you can take a look at. The best part of the performance is where I bow at the end. It's the only thing I do other than stick my finger in my mouth. My Teacher swears I know all of the dance moves and lyrics. She's nice to me.

The remainder of my holiday was mostly spent with my family in Niagara Falls. I really liked playing guitars with Uncle Shane and Uncle Shawn. I also spent time with my Grandpa, Grandma, and Auntie Lara in Toronto. I spent a few hours on New Year's Eve with Mom Mom while Mommy and Daddy went out to play.

The past few months I have been utilizing more and more sentences. I am putting many sentences together and partaking in little conversations. Some of my favourite comments as of late are "Hey pretty ladies;" "I want sushi and ginger;" "I wanna' go shopping - NO Baby GAP;" "I wanna' go to the mall;" "I wanna' go on a walk;" "I wanna' read a book;" "I take a bath;" "I take a nap;" "I wanna see Mom-Mom;" "I wanna' talk Pop-Pop;" "I wanna' go upstairs/downstairs;" "I wanna' wear orange socks;" "What happened Mommy?;" "Merry Christmas!;" "Happy New Year!;" and "The holidays are over."

While at Grandpa's and Grandma's house, I noticed a circular light on the ceiling. I told Mommy, "I wanna' touch the moon." She lifted me up, and I touched it. I exclaimed "I touched the moon!"

While looking in drawer after drawer for the flowers that accompany my farm's garden, I commented "No flowers in there"

While listening to the song "Bettie Davis Eyes," I stated "I like the guitar."

In response to Daddy's question "Who holds the flag for 'Oh Canada'" I commented, "I hold the flag daddy."

While looking around the house for Daddy, I decided to question Mephisto: "Where's Daddy Mephisto?"

It seems like I am getting two of my molars in at the same time. I have been waking up once a night for about two weeks now. Mommy and Daddy are tired. They don't feel my pain. Whenever I feel pain in my teeth I tell Mommy "Boo-boo cheek, Mommy. Boo-boo cheek."

Did I tell you I named my rocking horse "Doughnut?" I thought you should know that. I also think you should know that I've never had a doughnut in my life, and neither Mommy or Daddy have ever had a doughnut in front of me, so we're all confused as to how I came up with this name. We are all in agreement, however, that this is an AWESOME name for a horse!

While looking at a picture of Mr. T on Uncle Shane's T-shirt I pointed and said "Ju Ju Pop-Pop!"

I have a few other little accomplishments to tell you about. I can throw a ball overhand and catch a ball (now and then). I walk up and down stairs while holding a railing. I jump ever so slightly off the ground with my two feet. I also use my potty! YES, on January 2nd, I decided to use my potty for the first time. I called my entire family and told them: "I pee pee on the potty." Now and then, I tell Mommy and Daddy "I wanna' pee pee on the potty." I pee pee on the potty at daycare too. That said, tonight I decided "No potty" and peed on the floor a few times. I told Mommy and Daddy "I wanna pee pee on the floor," but they didn't seem so proud of me.

There are certain little obsessions I have recently developed like babies. I just love to look at, smile at, and gently touch babies. I also like to exclaim "I like babies!" while in their presence. Second to babies, I'd have to say I am mad about RICE CAKES! ...and jumping on the bed. I'd have to say rice cakes and jumping on the bed are tied. Dancing to "Jingle Bell Rock" has to be number three. Well, dancing AND singing have to be number three. I also like to sing and dance to "Baby Beluga," "Oh Canada,""Battu," "Jumbo Bwana," "Jingle Bells,""Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "Frosty," "Silver Bells;" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas."

I've have recently developed fear. I say "It's scary" when something is, well, scary. For example, Mommy and Daddy took me to get a picture with "A-Claus" (a.k.a. Santa Claus) and I said "scary A-Claus; no A-Claus." Mommy and Daddy just let me look at A-Claus that day, and then we read books about him, and then spied on him a few more times before we went to get my picture taken with him again. By that time, I didn't think A-Claus was scary anymore. He was a good guy, but his beard stunk like skunk.

Image (Above): Tinkle, tinkle, I'm a little star!!! (AND get this: tonight I pooped on the hall floor and peed in my highchair while going diaper-less! Who said potty training wasn't any fun?!)
