Easter Traditions Dye Hard

Easter wouldn't be Easter without dying some Easter eggs. The whole family gets involved in this tradition each year...and each year Mommy dyes the prettiest egg, Daddy dyes the ugliest 'Maple Leaf egg,' Uncle Shane dyes some kind of 'Earth egg,' and Uncle Shawn dyes the predictable 'striped or marble egg.'

A Visit to the Farm

On Easter weekend, Mommy, Daddy, Mom Mom, Pop Pop, and Uncle Shane took me to the farm. I hunted for, and painted, eggs, pet all sorts of animals, rode a horse, and went on a hay ride. It was such a fun day!

Giving Mom Mom a Lesson in Baking

Mom Mom and I spent some time making Easter cookies for the Easter holiday. We tossed some flour, rolled the dough, tossed a little more flour, used cookie cutters, tossed a lot more flour, and then decorated our masterpieces with sprinkles...lots of sprinkles! I made it quite clear to Mom Mom that you couldn't use enough flour or sprinkles when it came to making good cookies. After having taste-tested the cookies, Mommy agrees with me: the more sprinkles, the better! However, she thinks a little less flour on my clothing, Mom Mom's, and hers is probably in better taste.
