I'm Potty Trained!

"I'm wearing underwear!" ...that's what I like to tell most people the moment I see them these days. I've let my Teachers, my friend's parents, and even strangers in on my latest accomplishment. Mommy & Daddy are so proud of me, but what's most important is I am so proud of myself!!

Girls Love a Boy in Uniform

...at least Mommy does ;) She thinks I'm so handsome in my little navy and white ensemble. I have to admit, the girls in my class seem to like it too!
Speaking of class, I'm in a new room now. At first I was very sad to leave Ms. Eva & Ms. Herme, but now I'm used to my new Teacher, Ms. Sonja. She's nice to me. I'm also happy to be surrounded by some new friends too.

A Ball at the Beach

Mommy, Daddy, and Mom Mom took me to the beach and I had a wonderful time building sandcastles, hunting for pebbles, and swimming in the lake. I also enjoyed a nice picnic lunch. Great idea Mom Mom!
Since I got back from the beach, I've been even more of a water baby. During my last visit to the pool, I decided I wanted to start jumping into the water by myself. I don't mind my head going under the water. I come up with a big smile on my face and shout "AGAIN!" The lifeguards are amazed. Daddy told them I'm almost ready to do my deep-end test. He wasn't joking. They believed him.
(Okay, okay! So the image accompanying this post wasn't taken at the beach...or the pool for that matter. We didn't have the camera on hand, okay?! I think this image does a great job at capturing my summer glow, and thus makes a great beach pic!)
A Wild Adventure
Bird Watching

Mommy, Daddy, and I took a trip to see Niagara Falls because I said "I want to see the waterfall." After a few minutes of admiring this natural wonder's beauty, Mommy suggested we should get a closer look. I didn't realize she wanted us to go over the Falls in a barrel!
After our experience at the Falls, we visited the bird aviary. I got up close and personal with a big lizard, and got to talk to a macaw. I met so many beautiful birds!
Mom Mom got inspired by my love of birds, and got me a bird movie called "Rio." I find great enjoyment in singing and shaking my feathers to the songs in this movie. You should see how quick I can flap my wings. I'm surprised I haven't gotten my feet off the ground yet.
One Big Whale Tale

This is a blog post about a boy and his first visit to Marine Land. You wouldn't believe the stuff I got up to! I watched a show with marine animals, I rode a bunch of rides (including my first roller coaster with Uncle Shane!), I fed deer, I got caught in a flash rain storm, and I fed a beluga whale 12 fish. I also got to pet his squishy head. I told Mommy, Daddy, Mom Mom and Uncle Shane that "it feels like meat." Funny, I thought the stingrays that I pet at the Toronto Zoo last week felt like meat too.

No More Sleeping Behind Bars?

Last night I decided to sleep in my "big boy" bed that Pop-Pop made me instead of my crib. I slept in it all night long, and awoke at my usual time - 6:45. The only difference? I could get out of bed myself instead of hollering for Daddy to come get me.
I also chose to sleep in my new bed during my nap today.
Thank you for my new bed Pop-Pop! I just LOVE it!!!

Partying With My Peeps

One balmy night in early July I had some friends over for a BBQ. We swam, we jumped in my jumpy castle, we played in my sandbox and at my water table, and we danced (well, I danced). When the song "Hello" came on, I cut a patch of grass with my moves and yelled "Hey, everybody look at me!" Oh, how I love a party!
I apologize to my peeps Leo and Aidan as my Mommy wasn't on her "A" game and failed to capture images of you.

Happy Birthday Canada!

Well, I started off the day singing "O' Canada" and "Happy Birthday to You," and then made my way to my friend Erin's house where I met up with my friends Tessa, Josh, Charlie, Aiden, and Ella. After munching on some Timbits, we watched the East York Canada Parade. It was short and ...swee...uhhh, short. I then enjoyed playing with my aforementioned friends back at Erin's house again. It was a grande time, until I decided I wanted everything I couldn't have (other people's snacks). My behaviour quickly spiraled into a tornado tirade, and Mommy and Daddy were left with no other option other than to take me home.
After my nap, I felt calm and refreshed so Mommy & Daddy took me to the park where I rode on my first ferris wheel. I also rode on a train and a flying cowboy boot. I saw my friend Tessa there and my friends Ella and Luca as well. I rode some rides with my friends, and then cooled off in the splash pad.
Later on, my friends Ella and Luca joined me for a BBQ in my backyard where we played in my jumpy castle, sandbox, and tent of balls. We slid down my slide, sang, danced, and were basically merry (when someone wasn't pushing someone down the slide or throwing a ball at someone's head).
What a great birthday Canada! I can't wait until your next one!
